To comply with the EU Common charger directive (Directive (EU) 2022/2380) several of our digital camera models will no longer have an AC adapter included. The goal to reduce waste and allow consumers to repurpose existing accessories.
Q. What are the minimum and maximum power requirements for charging RICOH and PENTAX digital cameras?
A. For compact cameras use adapters with power rating from 2.5W to 5W.
For DSLR models use adapters with power rating from 2.5W to 15W
Q. Can the battery be charged in the camera with an AC adaptor?
A. Yes, with cameras that have a charging function the battery can be charged inside the camera. Please ensure the AC adaptor has the power requirements described in the operating instructions and on the product label.

CAUTION: The camera cannot be charged during operation, e.g. shooting, playback, etc. Turn the camera off when charging.
